JOB DESCRIPTION<\/b><\/p>\n
Reporting to the President, the Director is responsible for the financial and administrative activities of the firm. In this capacity, he\/she ensures the quality of financial information and the management of material resources.<\/p>\n
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES<\/b><\/p>\n
ACCOUNTING<\/b><\/p>\n
* Leads the accounting audit process, including preparation of the file for the audit of the financial statements, coordination with the external audit teams and participation in the Board of Directors.<\/p>\n
* Reviews and participates in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements of group companies (investment companies (n.p. and p.l.c.), trusts, foundations and investment funds).<\/p>\n
* Provides investment management and client support on an as-needed basis, including ad hoc financial analysis and special projects.<\/p>\n
TAXATION<\/b><\/p>\n
* Develops strategies to maximize tax planning for the entire group.<\/p>\n
* Ensures the timely filing of various tax returns and other documents required by tax laws and manages the relationship with tax authorities.<\/p>\n
ADMINISTRATION<\/b><\/p>\n
*Supervises and manages employees.<\/p>\n
* Manages the company’s movable and computer assets.<\/p>\n
DESIRED SKILLS :<\/b><\/p>\n
– Holds the title of Chartered Professional Accountant “CPA”.<\/p>\n
– Minimum of 5 years of experience<\/p>\n
– Experience in Microsoft Dynamics GP, Quicken and Taxprep would be an asset.<\/p>\n
– Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.<\/p>\n
– Organizational skills and ability to work independently.<\/p>\n
– Fluency in written and spoken French.<\/p>\n
