JOB DESCRIPTION<\/p>\n
Reporting to the President, the Director is responsible for the Company’s financial and administrative activities, as well as special projects. As such, he\/she ensures the quality of financial information and the management of material resources, and participates in various projects contributing to the company’s development and service offering to clients.<\/p>\n
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
ACCOUNTING<\/p>\n
* Leads the accounting audit process, including preparation of the financial statement audit file, coordination with external audit teams and participation in the Board of Directors.<\/p>\n
* Reviews and participates in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements for Group companies (investment companies (s.e.n.c. and s.e.c.), trusts, foundations and investment funds).<\/p>\n
* Provides support to investment management and clients on an as-needed basis, including ad hoc financial analysis and special projects.<\/p>\n
TAXATION<\/p>\n
* Develops strategies to maximize tax planning for the entire group.<\/p>\n
* Ensures timely filing of various tax returns and other documents required by tax laws, and manages relationship with tax authorities.<\/p>\n
ADMINISTRATION<\/p>\n
*Supervises and assists employees.<\/p>\n
* Manages the company’s Real estate and IT assets.<\/p>\n
TAXATION<\/p>\n
* Develops strategies to maximize tax planning for the entire group.<\/p>\n
* Ensures timely filing of various income documents and other documents required by tax law, and manages relations with tax \/ government authorities.<\/p>\n
SPECIAL PROJECTS<\/p>\n
* Lead various projects aimed at producing value-added financial information.<\/p>\n
SKILLS REQUIRED :<\/p>\n
Holds a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
\nMinimum 5 to 7 years experience
\nExperience in Microsoft Dynamics GP, Quicken and Taxprep would be an asset
\nExcellent command of Microsoft Excel
\nKnowledge of taxation
\nOrganizational skills and ability to work independently.
\nDemonstrates proactivity
\nFluency in spoken and written French.<\/p>\n
