Senior Estimator"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li><em>Anjou, Qc<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>90000$ \u00c0 120000$ \/ Year + Bonus<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>4 weeks vacation<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Are you looking for a challenging position where you can put your experience in estimating new large-scale real estate projects to good use?<\/p>\n<p>Following strong growth, our client, a major real estate developer and general contractor renowned for its multi-unit residential construction projects, is looking for a <strong>SENIOR ESTIMATOR<\/strong> able to work mainly on the construction of multi-residential projects in the Greater Montreal area;<\/p>\n<p><strong>THIS IS THE JOB FOR YOU!<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Permanent position offering a salary between 90000$ &amp; 120000$<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 4 weeks vacation<\/li>\n<li>VERY aggressive bonus (10% to 40% \/ year(<\/li>\n<li>Pleasant work atmosphere and great team!<\/li>\n<li>Established for 20+ years with over 150 million multi-residential projects built in Montreal<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify business opportunities in the general construction industry, mainly multi-residential within the public (SEAO, BSDQ) and private markets to increase our customer&#8217;s market share in order to reach the annual sales target agreed upon in the employment contract;<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the evaluation and development of construction costs for projects;<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for the preparation, submission and follow-up of bids;<\/li>\n<li>Analyze bid results and propose adjustments to improve the company&#8217;s competitiveness.<\/li>\n<li>Examine plans, specifications and bids to estimate the cost of materials, labor and equipment;<\/li>\n<li>Carry out quantity surveys to prepare bids;<\/li>\n<li>Prepare specifications\/bid forms following the study of plans and specifications to send out requests for bids to various parties;<\/li>\n<li>Compare and negotiate bids received from subcontractors;<\/li>\n<li>Research subcontractors in order to expand the database;<\/li>\n<li>Maintain directories of suppliers, subcontractors and other industry professionals;<\/li>\n<li>Establish and maintain the necessary communications with customers, subcontractors, suppliers and professionals;<\/li>\n<li>Implement and maintain bidding, control and reporting systems and procedures;<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate the purchase of construction materials for the group in coordination with the Project Manager(s) and Superintendent(s);<\/li>\n<li>Negotiate changes and additions to contractual agreements with subcontractors and suppliers in coordination with the Project Manager(s) and Superintendent(s);<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Once the contract has been signed \/ project awarded, in collaboration with the Project Manager <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in the development of the worksite completion strategy within the approved schedule;<\/li>\n<li>Participate in coordinating and managing worksite safety prevention;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PREREQUISITES :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 7 to 10 years&#8217; experience in one or more construction estimating roles (multi-residential \/ commercial or institutional)<\/li>\n<li>DEC or AEC in estimating, engineering, architecture or other relevant experience<\/li>\n<li>Experience in multi-residential development (Asset)<\/li>\n<li>Good knowledge of AutoCAD &amp;
