Are you looking for a role filled with challenges where you can showcase your strengths in project management<\/strong> while overseeing the estimating function for large-scale residential construction projects?<\/p>\n

Due to continued growth, our client\u2014an established general contractor recognized for multi-residential construction projects<\/strong>\u2014is seeking a Project Manager \u2013 Estimator<\/strong> to support the planning, coordination, and execution of projects across the Greater Montreal area.<\/p>\n

\n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/h1>\n

(Project management is the primary focus)<\/p>\n

1. Project Management \u2013 \u2b50 Primary Responsibility<\/h2>\n

\u2022 Coordinate all phases of multi-residential construction projects.
\u2022 Prepare technical and administrative project documents.
\u2022 Work closely with site superintendents and field teams.
\u2022 Track schedules, construction sequences, and anticipate operational issues.
\u2022 Participate in budget tracking and manage project changes.
\u2022 Support site teams to ensure compliance, quality, and execution standards.<\/p>\n

\n

2. Estimating \u2013 \ud83d\udcd0 Secondary Role (mainly supervision)<\/h2>\n

\u2022 Supervise a remote junior estimator<\/strong> responsible for:
\u2013 quantity takeoffs
\u2013 estimate preparation
\u2013 price compilation
\u2013 updating internal databases
\u2022 Review and validate quantities and estimates prepared by the junior.
\u2022 Analyze subcontractor bids and prepare comparison tables.
\u2022 Support negotiations on price, scope, and conditions.
\u2022 Assist in preparing preliminary project budgets.<\/p>\n

\n

3. Subcontractor Relations & Tendering \ud83e\udd1d<\/h2>\n

\u2022 Maintain strong professional relationships with subcontractors.
\u2022 Identify and onboard new subcontracting partners.
\u2022 Coordinate and follow up on invitations to tender.
\u2022 Review opportunities for upcoming projects (including SEAO listings).<\/p>\n

\n

REQUIRED PROFILE<\/h1>\n

Technical Skills<\/h2>\n

\u2022 3 to 6 years of experience<\/strong> in construction, estimating, or project management (multi-residential is an asset).
\u2022 Solid understanding of construction site operations and building methods.
\u2022 Education in estimating, architectural technology, civil engineering, or related field.
\u2022 Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and estimating software (asset: Procore \/ Autodesk Build).
\u2022 Strong skills in Excel and the MS Office Suite.
\u2022 Understanding of applicable building codes and construction standards.<\/p>\n

Soft Skills<\/h2>\n

\u2022 Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and structured work methodology.
\u2022 Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate several stakeholders.
\u2022 Collaborative leadership style suitable for supervising a junior estimator remotely.
\u2022 Clear communication, problem-solving mindset, and professional attitude.
\u2022 Strong French communication; functional English.<\/p>\n
