THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration, the incumbent will be responsible for the bookkeeping of investment companies and will participate in the preparation of year-end files. Our client is looking for a motivated individual who is keen to learn and grow with us over the long term in this role as a full-time accounting technician.

Main responsibilities:
 Perform accounting for various investment fund companies by analyzing account information, including:
– Billing
– Calculation of interest on loans
– Calculation and monitoring of investment costs in the public and private markets
– Bank reconciliation
– Analysis of general ledger accounts
 Validate invoices and accounting entries and obtain approval prior to payment
 Prepare cash flow monitoring tables for several companies
 Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual closing financial statements.
 Assist in the preparation of year-end files for the annual audit.
 Produce various monthly, quarterly and annual reports
 Various administrative tasks

Profile sought
Our client is looking for someone who is meticulous and quick at data entry, with good organizational and time management skills. This person must be resourceful, a good team player, rigorous and analytical, fluent in both spoken and written French, and eager to learn and develop within our company.

Training and qualifications
 College diploma in accounting (DEC)
 2 years’ experience or have completed an internship in a similar position
 Mastery of MS Office suite, excellent command of excel  Experience with Sage Intacct an asset
