DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures the smooth running of the Receiving & Dispatch department Ensures compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices in the department
– HACCP and SQF standards
– Receiving and shipping procedures
– List of approved suppliers
– Allergen and safety procedures
– Wood pallet inspection procedure
– Rotation program; batch traceability
– Perform and complete documentation related to SQF programs.
– All other related tasks
Liaise between transport logistics, production, quality and customer requests
– Plan department activities
– Delegate and assign tasks to employees under his/her responsibility
– Ensure compliance with transport schedules set by the Logistics Manager
– Participate in and plan (where possible) transport flows
– Enforce truck drivers’ instructions
– Be involved in the department’s improvement process
– Ensure that products received meet company and customer quality standards
– Ensure quality, operation and safety
– Note and report any anomalies
Plan and ensure the quality of work of personnel under his/her responsibility
– Adheres to SQF and HACCP standards
– Ensures that the tasks of receiving/shipping clerks are carried out according to schedule
– Ensures adequate training for staff
– Follow-up of training schedule with Logistics Manager
– Forklift driving
– Other
Takes over some of the Receiving/Shipping Clerk’s tasks in their absence and/or as needed.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
– Knowledge of Microsoft software
– Good physical condition and resistance to cold
– Meticulous and good sense of priorities
– Forklift driver’s license required
– Ability to analyze and solve problems;
– Good negotiator, results-oriented;
– Demonstrate leadership and work as part of a team;
– Food processing and distribution: 3 to 5 years (Desirable)
