Responsabilities:
- Inspect products in process of manufacturing to ensure that they meet the requirements
- Perform various controls mainly related to the manufacturing of metal parts: visual, dimensional, chemical, tensile, Charpy, and other mechanical tests
- Detect deviations and redact non-conformity reports
- Master the documentation of the quality department, and ensure the traceability of parts
- Operate the test benches / instruments of the metrology laboratory, such as micrometer, caliper, durometer and CMM
- Correctly execute the quality plan
- Perform verification and calibration of instruments
- Work in collaboration with the various internal stakeholders
- Support the supervisor in continuous improvement projects, and maintain a clean working environment, and participate in 5S projects
Skills and qualities required:
- Possess a diploma of College Studies in mechanical engineering, or industrial engineering, or foundry, or equivalent training
- Have 0 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing, quality control or other related fields
- Experience with CMM (MCosmos software) is an asset
- Basic knowledge of ISO, ASME, ASTM standards is an asset
- Experience with ERP system, such as SAP, Epicor, is an asset
- Good computer knowledge, particularly MS Word and Excel, is essential
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of reading the mechanical drawing
- Knowledge of foundry and forged metal parts is an asset
- Efficiency in managing time in a fast-paced environment
- Sense of responsibility, resourcefulness and autonomy
