About the Role

Our client, a well-established condominium association on Nuns’ Island, is seeking a live-in concierge to ensure the upkeep, cleanliness, and smooth operation of their residential building.

This position is ideal for a reliable, self-directed, and committed individual who wishes to enjoy a 4½-room condo on site along with access to the gym, pool, and reception hall.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the daily cleanliness of common areas (lobby, elevators, hallways, stairwells, community and sports rooms, gym, showers, saunas).

  • Perform regular cleaning and upkeep of garages, garbage chutes, technical rooms, and outdoor spaces.

  • Assist with winter snow removal (main entrances, emergency exits, ramps).

  • Inspect and maintain mechanical and safety systems (lighting, ventilation, sprinklers, alarms, garage doors, etc.).

  • Respond to emergencies and provide a reassuring presence.

  • Carry out minor maintenance work (painting, small repairs, lighting fixtures).

  • Prepare and clean spaces for move-ins, move-outs, and events.

A complete task list is provided as an appendix and may be adjusted by the employer as needed.


Employment Conditions

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday (37.5 h/week including lunch break).

  • Availability: 2 additional hours on weekends + emergencies.

  • Exclusivity: No other employment permitted.


Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary: Starting at $48,000 /year.

  • Condo and paid benefits (~ $30,000 /year), including:

    • On-site 4½-room condo (market value ~ $1,800 /month).

    • Heating, electricity, and air conditioning.

    • Internet, cable, and basic phone service.

    • Paid mobile phone.

    • Indoor parking + storage locker.

    • Access to facilities: fitness room, pool, and reception hall.

  • Vacation: 3 weeks.

  • Paid Holidays: As per provincial law.

  • Annual salary review based on performance.


Candidate Profile

  • Experience in concierge work, maintenance, or building upkeep (an asset).

  • Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and reliability.

  • Ability to handle emergencies calmly.
