Role Overview
The Machinist plays a critical role in the manufacturing of precision mechanical components, overseeing machining, adjustments, assembly, and final inspections in accordance with technical drawings, tolerances, and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
🔧 Machining & CNC
• Machine parts using conventional tools (mills, lathes) and CNC equipment
• Operate additional shop equipment (tapping machines, drills, etc.)
🛠 Setup & Adjustments
• Perform setups, adjustments, and assemblies independently
• Configure machine tools ensuring safe & efficient operation
📐 Technical Drawings & Quality Control
• Read and interpret technical drawings & tolerances
• Verify dimensional conformity using measuring instruments
• Identify improvement opportunities for machining processes
🧽 Safety & Organization
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Requirements & Technical Profile
🎓 Education
• DEP / Vocational diploma in Machining/Manufacturing (or equivalent)
• ASP in CNC Control (asset)
🧩 Experience
• 2+ years machining experience
• Experience in conventional and/or CNC machining
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings
• Proficiency with the imperial measurement system
