ROLE SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Plant Director, the Repair Technician receives defective products and performs various repair tasks on products and their complex sub-assemblies, ensuring that all equipment repairs comply with technical definitions and standards.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Receive defective products
• Perform a complete evaluation of products and repair prerequisites in order to prepare customer repair quotes
• Repair or manufacture defective parts or sub-assemblies
• Use available tools to carry out assembly work
• Perform assembly and welding of mechanical and electrical parts according to order specifications
• Test the technical and mechanical capacity of products
• Test the resistance of electrical components
• Treat motors against humidity
• Package products prior to shipment
• Verify work compliance based on general and specific standards defined in technical documentation
• Prepare and receive rental product requests and keep the rental inventory up to date
Additional tasks:
• Participate in new product assembly depending on workload
• Maintain inventory of parts used in mechanical assemblies
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• DEP in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics
• An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
Knowledge and experience:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in assembly and repair
• Strong aptitude in industrial mechanical and electrical repair
• Comfortable using hand tools
• Ability to work with high voltage
