POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Chief of the Information Technology Division, the IT Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, maintenance, and security of all computer systems and specialized IT equipment.
The position requires full on-site presence, due to hands-on work, proximity support, and interventions on physical and embedded systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
🖥️ Infrastructure & Workstations
• Install, configure, and maintain workstations, peripherals, and specialized equipment.
• Ensure the proper operation of the network, servers, and IP telephony systems.
• Install and update software, vehicle-mounted equipment, and additional tools.
🔐 Security & Maintenance
• Apply and maintain IT security protocols.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Handle vendor follow-ups (repairs, updates, purchases).
🧰 Technical Support
• Provide technical support to employees (hardware, software, access, accounts).
• Maintain inventory of equipment, workstations, and software.
• Participate in IT projects, technical specifications, and implementations.
🚨 Specialized Equipment
• Support embedded systems and emergency communication equipment.
• Ensure the reliability, monitoring, and maintenance of critical systems.

PROFILE SOUGHT
• College diploma (DEC) in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in a similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, IP telephony.
• Networking knowledge: LAN, WAN, VLAN, VPN, WiFi, DHCP, DNS.
• Functional English (for vendor communication).
• Strong autonomy, organizational skills, rigor, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a team while being structured and independent.
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
🕓 Schedule: 32.5 hours/week
• Monday & Tuesday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Wednesday & Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
📍 Location: Candiac — 100% on-site
