ROLE SUMMARY:

Our client, a major player in renewable energies established for 30 years in Quebec, is looking for an Insurance Advisor for its energy division. Based in Montreal on a hybrid basis, you will have the chance to contribute to the success of a fast-growing company offering affordable renewable energy for all.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Director in the preparation of documentation for the renewal of various insurance contracts;
  • Set up and maintain an insurance database that includes policy information, renewal dates and underwriting data;
  • Ensure that insurance policies are issued and renewed with insurance brokers, and that deadlines are met;
  • Assist operating sites in coordinating loss control inspections and follow up to ensure implementation of recommendations issued by insurers;
  • Ensure that insurance information posted on the company’s intranet site is kept up to date;
  • Carry out the department’s accounting operations (invoice processing, payment follow-up, etc.);
  • Provide required assistance to Boralex personnel regarding certain aspects of insurance and risk management policies and procedures such as;
  • Instructions in the event of an insurance claim;
  • Obtaining insurance certificates from our suppliers;
    Circumstances and types of incidents to be reported (lawsuit, fire/damage, etc.) to the company’s insurance team.
  • Collaborates in the drafting and preparation of communications, presentations and procedures;
  • Perform a variety of technical and administrative tasks related to risk management and daily operations of the department;
  • Keep abreast of new trends in the insurance industry and risk management through continuing education.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • AEC in Property & Casualty Insurance or university training;
  • 3 years’ relevant experience an asset;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, bilingualism;
  • Thoroughness, analytical skills and ability to manage priorities;
  • Ability to develop good relationships.
